Dualidad

Duality was projected Spring 2018, next to the sculpture of Xochipilli, in the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City. Inspired by the mural named Duality by Rufino Tamayo, this short film follows the birth and meaning of Xochipilli. Evoking symbols of duality in the Mexica cosmogony: day and night, the masculine and the feminine, the Sun and the Moon, death and life. The birth of Xochipilli, God of flowers, is a product of the union between tha attributes from the Sun (heat, light, life) and the attributes from the Earth (humidity, darkness and death); a union where everything regenerates.
